Gifted Evaluations

Individually administered tests of general intelligence which measure cognitive abilities such as verbal comprehension, visual spatial and fluid reasoning skills, working memory and speed of processing. Assessment includes gifted characteristics checklists and scales which help identify student strengths.  

Intake, 90 minute testing session, meeting to review results.

Learning Evaluations

Developmental Evaluations

Evaluation includes individually administered achievement tests in reading, math, written expression, and/or listening expression,  in addition to cognitive tests to provide a profile of strengths and weaknesses, learning style, and approach to learning and tasks.

Intake, one or more individual testing sessions, meeting to review results and recommendations.

Attention and 

Executive Functioning

Assessment of characteristics associated with attention, task initiation and maintenance, organization, working memory, self-regulation.  Includes teacher and parent observations, checklists and potential achievement and/or cognitive screenings and student self-report.

Intake, one or more individual sessions, meeting to review results and recommendations.

Autism Spectrum & Behavioral/Emotional

Evaluations inlcude individually administered cognitive, academic achievement and language assessments, as well as rating scales and observations to measure adaptive functioning skills (age-appropiate behaviors necessary to live independently and function in daily life), behavioral/emotional functioning, and social and developmental history.

Intake, two or more individual testing sessions, meeting to review results and recommendations.

Michele Paymer, Ed.S., Licensed School Psychologist & Owner

Michele Paymer is a Certified School Psychologist through the Florida Department of Education and a Licensed School Psychologist through the Florida Department of Health.  Michele has been a School Psychologist for 20 years,  having worked in the Central Florida area with both Orange and Seminole school districts.   Michele is also a certified English teacher having taught high school English, Speech, and Journalism, and having served as the Director of the  International Baccalaureate Program initiated in  Osceola County School District.  Before entering her career as an educator, Michele worked as a Cost Accountant for L3 Harris Corporation. 

 

A hometown graduate of Seminole County Public Schools, Michele went on to the University of Central Florida to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), and over time  a Master's of Arts in English Education (M.A.) and an Educational Specialist degree (Ed.S.) in School Psychology.  ​Michele's expertise includes comprehensive whole child assessments in the areas of learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Giftedness, Executive Functioning and ADHD, and emotional/behavioral difficulties to include Anxiety and Depression.  Michele is also highly skilled in problem solving, consultation, and guiding students to use strategies and monitor their progress while understanding their strengths.  Michele truly has a passion for helping students and parents navigate the school and academic processes and exhibits a strong commitment to doing what is best for each individual child.   As a dual practitioner working in the schools and private practice, Michele has the unique  position to consult with families on  Individual Education Plans (IEP) and 504 Accommodation Plans.  ​
